It’s 10pm on Friday night . I’m watching the footy . What’s new? I’m in California . I haven’t watched a game for 18 months , bar the grand final . Do I miss it ? Yes . Ok I barrack for Stkilda , and it looks depressing , as per normal . You watch it on the iPad and it’s hard to see ,but one things obvious , it’s a poor spectacle . I’ve been fortunate to be watching a polished , milked and almost manufactured product . US sport , I hated it , set up for commercial tv , but that’s it’s strength , it’s easy on the eye . Most Americans don’t know that the AFL exists, they think we play rugby ( union) . The few that have seen Aussie rules think it’s a crazy helter skelter game . I always shook my head and thought typical Yanks , they know nothing . Now I’m not so sure .
I’m watching
